The Modern Churails on ZEE5 - Review of a new Web series

Everyone has ups and downs in life but it is important to lash back and to take revenge also. We always talk about Women Empowerment but sometimes it is needed to stand with it also. And this aspect has been portrayed in a very interesting way in the latest series on ZEE5,  Churail . Churail is a Zindagi Original web series exclusively on ZEE5. I am always so excited for any new web series on ZEE5 because all shows on ZEE5 are so unique in terms of a storyline, cast and full-on entertainment. The show Churail has 10 episodes in total. I started watching this new series on the first day of its launch. So here I am going to share my opinion on this series and a brief review for all of you.

Show: Churails

Genre: Thriller

Cast: Sarwat Gilani, Mehar Bano, Nimra Bucha and Yasra Rizvi

Director: Asim Abbasi

Plot :

The show Churail is a story of four strong women Sara, Jugnu, Batool, and Zubaida who came through from different walks of life and join together to form a secret detective agency by naming "Churail" under the tagline "Mard Ko Dard Hoga". They ran this spy agency under the veil of a fashion boutique called Halal Designs and help cheated women to find justice and to teach lessons to the unfaithful, abusive husbands amongst Karachi's elite.

Now it is exciting to watch if they become successful in their mission? And what are the promises they will face in their #MainChurailHoon journey ?. To get answers to all these curiosities, you have to watch out all the 10 episodes of this web series.

Meet the Characters of Churail :

Sara, played by Sarwat Gilani was a lawyer by profession but she had to drop her job to manage her family. His husband is a big businessman who is also an arrogant, strict and abusive man. He hardly cares for his family and his wife. Sara was only like a 'Trophy Wife'.

Jugnu, played by Yasra Rizvi is a high profile event manager. She is an exorbitant and spoilt woman. Because of her mindless lifestyle, she has fallen into a financial disaster.

Batool, the character is played by Nimra Bucha. She is an ex-criminal who had spent 20years in jail because of a murder case. She is a mysterious personality. She is Jugnu's housemaid.

Zubeida is played by Mehar Bano. She is a young college student who wishes to hang out with boyfriends and runs behind her passion 'boxing'. But her conservative family and abusive father is always the obstacle of her way.

These four girls come together to form a spy agency where they empower wives to take revenge against the abusive and cheating husbands and this ends up with a powerful feminist movement. This is a woman-centric show and also visualises the brutal truth of our society. But the way the four women fight for the justice of other suffering women of our society is tremendously beautiful. Here, they have raised their voice over so many social issues that are happening in our society like rural money lander, high profile prostitution rackets, etc.

My View of Churail :

The show is visually appealing. The natural acting, beautiful direction is another plus point of this show. I am a fan of Pakistani dramas /series. I love the simplicity in their attire to the powerful acting of the stars. The story is full of excitement and thrilling. If you are fond of thriller stories then Churail is perfect for you.

Moreover, Churail shows how to challenge the hypocritical society who always try to conserve the women in the house and their rights. This is one of the best feminist show I have watched so far.
