After the pandemic hit last year, the demand for influencer marketing has increased a lot compared to the previous years. Because of the lockdown, digital media has become more familiar than ever. When everything is digitalised, then why not business and promotion !! In this case, the existence or necessity of social media and influencer marketing comes first.

No worry, in this post, I am going to share a detailed view on what influencer marketing is and how it does work to promote sales and improve business and why brands are preferring social media marketing more in 2021? Also, I will share my personal growth and experience as a beauty and lifestyle influencer over these past years. 

What is Influencer marketing?

It is a process of using content creators or influencers to convey the brand's message to its audience. Also, to create brand awareness and convert the audience into brand's customers. This whole sum process is called Influencer Marketing. In simple words, this is the collaboration between a Brand and a Social Media Influencer.

If there is a question in your mind about whom we should call an influencer, then there is a straightforward answer. Influencers can be big celebrities or simple next door people. A person who has an excellent social media reach and a creative mind who can influence people through his content is called an influencer. 

How Influencer marketing promotes sales of brands !!

This is the digital media era, and most people are active on different social media sites. When brands promote their products through influencers on various social media sites, this reaches a good range of audiences without much effort. In simple words, brand awareness increases immediately through social media marketing. Small businesses get name and fame quickly through collaborations. On the other hand, influencers also get a good amount of payout with each partnership. 

Social Media Influencers or content creators are today's trendsetters with a wide range of audience who looks for their recommendations/guide before their purchases. And remember, content creations do not only belong to Instagram promotion or youtube unboxing videos; it's beyond all these things.  

There are various social media platforms present. Twitter is used for official promotions. Instagram is one of the most famous social media platforms where influencers promote through pictures and short videos. Youtube is a video content creating platform that again helps brands promote their products and reach many audiences. Through blogs, you can promote things in writing formats and trusts me; blogs work the best. Facebook is again a great social media platform for promotion.

If I look 7years back where I had started my journey as a blogger out of curiosity, I might feel embarrassed. In those years, I have seen so many ups and downs. Honestly, the initial 2-3 years were clueless about what I was doing or if I could sustain the peanut earning through my work. But now I feel proud of myself that I did it. In the last 4years, the influencer marketing field has increased a lot. Brands have started prioritising influencers and their hard work. The payout has increased and the response as well.  

Different niches have had different experiences throughout these years. I worked in the beauty, lifestyle and fashion niche mostly, and I can say I have seen a vast increasing graph in the whole scenario. I write on my blog, work as an Instagram influencer and create content on youtube. In all these fields, the scope has increased throughout these years. Specifically, since last year after the pandemic started, things have taken a complete round. When everything got digitalised, the value of social media influencers increased. Brands are more into social media promotions these days than big-screen promotions. Even if it's a movie promotion or web series, the priority is going toward social media influencers. After the pandemic happened, even the well-known celebrities we called celebrities are also very active on social media platforms. 

From a survey, it is known that now brands are investing more funds in influencer marketing to promote their work. If I look into my growth graph as an influencer, it is rising with each passing month. A long way to go, but all these small achievements mean a lot and motivate me to work more. Brands are recognising, people are recognising, life is becoming luxurious slowly, which is a good sign. Influencer marketing is increasing positively, and it will grow more in future.

Conclusion - 

Influencers under niche beauty, fashion and tech are getting more exposure these days than other niches. With time, the influencing field will become stronger and broader. Always be honest to your work and your audience, and this is the only key to success.
